Ms. Dahan first joined the Beverly Hills office of Ira M. Friedman, where she litigated complex family law cases in Los Angeles. After founding her own law firm in Los Angeles in 1992, she joined forces with Kathleen A. Brown in Orange County and formed Brown | Dahan in 2000.
Extensive experience in handling intricate custody disputes as well as complex business and financial aspects in divorce cases gives her the competitive edge in representing clients in Orange County family law courts.
Ms. Dahan’s professional successes as well as commitment to the community have resulted in her being honored among the Most Remarkable Women of Orange County by the National Association of Women Business Owners, along with other nominations and accolades. She serves on the Board of Directors of Human Options, which helps to restore hope and rebuild the lives of battered women and their families. In addition, she is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Women in Leadership Organization and Orange County Bar Association. Ms. Brown handles all aspects of divorce and family law matters as a partner with Brown & Dahan. Her experience in accounting and business adds to her role as an astute, results-driven negotiator when handling complex financial issues in a dissolution proceeding.
Ms. Brown is an esteemed Court-Appointed Special Advocate in Orange County, as well as active member of the Orange County Bar Association, and published author (most recently in Orange County Lawyer Magazine). She actively participates in a monthly roundtable with prominent Orange County attorneys on complex matters of family law.

Denise Vatani Heinz is an Associate Attorney with The Law Offices of Brown | Dahan. She joined the Brown | Dahan team her second year in law school as a law clerk and became an Associate Attorney after passing the California Bar Exam. Ms. Heinz was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Orange County her senior year in high school. She then went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts Degree, double majoring in Political Science and International Relations. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Heinz attended Chapman University, School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate.
Ms. Heinz understands that this is a very difficult and demanding time for clients and encourages them to be active and aware of the circumstances of their case. She prefers that her client’s have all of the knowledge necessary prior to making any big decisions. She is active in the professional community as a member of the California Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division, and the American Bar Association. Ms. Heinz is also fluent in Farsi.
